Featuring the likes of Little Simz, Palm + Noga Erez.
This week, east coast indie-rock outfit Pinegrove released “Intrepid”, the first single since releasing their impressive debut, Cardinal. The New Jersey based, Georgia-sounding band have earned their place as beloved indie darlings, and this new track sounds like more fine work from this surprise powerhouse of a group. One of our all-time favorite bands, Khruangbin, are on fire with “Maria También,” the first single off of their upcoming album Con Todo El Mundo. The Texas based, Thai-funk-inspired band seem to be moving geographically, taking cues from Latin American music. Finally, Sunflower Bean are also back with “I Was a Fool,” a track that feels like it belongs on a lost Fleetwood Mac record. This new sound is a throwback to the late 70s, airy rock that we all love and ushers in a new sound for the group.
New artist forecast: If you’ve been wondering what happened to pop sensation The Neighbourhood, look no further than this new project from their frontman, jesse rutherford. “Drama” is a serious departure from the sweater weather jams we are used to from jesse, and he has us excited to see what else he can do when he’s at it alone.
