Ingredients

- 2 ounces barrelaged
- Gin (such as FEW)
- 3/4 ounce Demerara syrup*
- 1/4 ounce Herbsaint anise-flavored liqueur
- 2 drops Peychaud's Bitters
- 2 drops Angostura Bitters
- Lemon twist

Preparation

Rinse a chilled rocks glass with Herbsaint liqueur. Combine gin, syrup, and bitters over ice in a mixing glass
and stir. Single strain into the chilled glass and finish with a generous lemon twist.
*1:1 ratio of raw cane sugar to hot water. You can either reduce it down on the range or shake it vigorously
until it dissolves.

Notes

“While listening to Blessed Feathers for the first time, I really got a sense of where the artist has been in his life. Like the complex barrel-aged gin in Traveling Man, I sensed life has aged him yet given him hope on his journey through expressing his melodic and dreamy folk sound. This drink is what I like to refer to as a ‘sipper’, perfect for posting up in your favorite nook, possibly on a rainy day, light some nag champa, and contemplate life with Blessed Feathers.”
